A note on dental insurance: Dental insurance is a great benefit that can help minimize out-of-pocket dental expenses. However, dental insurance is not a guarantee that all procedures are covered. Insurance companies provide different levels of assistance when it comes to the kind of treatment and how much of it they will cover. In addition, the majority of insurance companies have a cap or maximum yearly allowance for which you are entitled. Many set a maximum fee for such procedures that we can charge and pay a percentage of those fees.
For example, in the case of a hygiene or preventive care appointment for a dental exam and cleaning, most insurance will pay 100% of that fee. But for a filling, they may only pay 80% of the fee. Regardless, it is important to know and understand your dental insurance benefits and we are here to help. We will do our best to explain your coverage and treatment fees so you can maximize your benefits and minimize your out-of-pocket expenses.
Payments can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, cash or check. At Stephen Ruchlin, DDS, we participate with CareCredit because we believe that no one should go without dental care. Depending upon your credit history and eligibility, you may qualify for low-interest or no-interest payment options to cover dental care expenses.
